God's Will Is Prosperity Gloria Copeland

Pastor showed us how poverty tempts us to curse God and envy others, while prosperity tempts us to forget God and degrade others. As we've seen, Faith believers all over the world endlessly quote the verse as a prooftext that supposedly proves that God's will is that all men be always prosperous. But I think you should have noted that the “Prosperity Gospel” is not even a Christian concept! But Jesus himself suffered and calls his disciples to take up the cross, forsake the world, and be prepared to suffer as he suffered (Matt 16:24-28; John 15:18-20). The “Prosperity Gospel” is a pagan concept. This prosperity “gospel” that is so popular goes something like this: God wants people to prosper so if you give to a “church” God will bless you financially and that wealth is a sign of God's blessing and God's power in your life. The prosperity gospel claims that suffering is never God's will. Today's message was titled, “Financial prosperity is system based and not activity based” He went on to say that God is a respecter of systems and principle, that when God sees principles in a man, He will respond to him. This is year GOD has spoken to us that this is the year that HIS people will live in COMPLETE prosperity (spirit, soul, body, finances, and every area of our lives). God's Will is Prosperity “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” 3 Jn.
